Updated Standards of Care for New Coronaviruses

The latest treatment standards for the new coronavirus include the implementation of categorized admission of cases, further standardization of antiviral treatment, and revision and improvement of the contents of Chinese medicine treatment.
1. Categorization of cases for admission and treatment:
(1) Centralized isolation management is implemented for light cases, and the relevant centralized isolation sites cannot isolate people entering the country, close contacts and other groups at the same time. Symptomatic treatment and monitoring of the condition should be done during the period of isolation management, and if the condition worsens, the case should be transferred to a designated hospital for treatment.
(2) Ordinary, heavy, critical cases and cases with heavy high-risk factors should be treated centrally in designated hospitals, of which heavy, critical cases should be admitted to ICU for treatment as early as possible, and patients with high-risk factors and a tendency to become seriously ill should also be admitted to ICU for treatment.
2. Further standardization of antiviral treatment: two kinds of anti-neocoronavirus drugs should be applied, i.e., ritonavir tablets, monoclonal antibody (ambavizumab/romivizumab injection).
3. The contents of Chinese medicine treatment have been revised and improved: for example, acupuncture treatment and children’s Chinese medicine treatment have been added.
It is recommended to pay attention to the usual protection, wear a mask, less gathering, if there is any discomfort, timely consultation, do not be negligent, so as not to affect their own health and the health of others.
