How to tell if you want a hysteroscopy

Whether or not to do hysteroscopy, you need to know its indications and contraindications before being evaluated by a professional doctor and formulating a treatment plan.

Since the 1970s, hysteroscopic technology has been developing rapidly. Hysteroscopy and its mediated operations, which are less traumatic, quicker in recovery, and do not affect the endocrine function of the ovaries, are regarded as the ideal surgical procedure for the treatment of benign lesions in the uterine cavity.

Hysteroscopy has a wide range of indications and is suitable for confirmation of diagnosis and preoperative evaluation of various types of abnormal uterine bleeding, intrauterine space-occupying lesions, etiologic examination of infertility patients, and differential diagnosis of abnormal uterine imaging changes.

It should be noted that there are certain contraindications to hysteroscopic technology, mainly acute reproductive tract and pelvic infections, cardiac, hepatic and renal failure can not tolerate the diagnosis and treatment operation. In addition, it is best not to have hysteroscopy for those who are not sexually active.

If hysteroscopy is needed in the clinic, it is recommended to consult the doctor in time and standardize the examination.
