Prostatic hyperplasia is one of the most common diseases in elderly men; it mainly manifests as obstructive symptoms such as dyspareunia and storage symptoms such as urinary frequency, urgency and pain, and some patients have post-urinary symptoms such as incomplete urination; commonly used drugs include three categories: 5a-reductase inhibitors (e.g., Paulownia, Epileptic, etc.), a-blockers (e.g., Harlequin, Cordova, etc.) and botanical agents (e.g., Urinary retention, Serniton, etc.). If the prostate volume is greater than 30 g and PSA is normal, it is recommended to add 5a-reductase inhibitors; if the maximum urinary flow rate is less than 15 ml/s, it is recommended to add a-blockers; botanical agents are often used in conjunction with them and are more effective for the symptoms of the urinary storage phase.
