How to treat dryness?

  ”Dry syndrome” Pathology: “Lymphocytes invade columnar epithelial cells”, which can occur in parotid, salivary, lacrimal glands and other exocrine glands, but also in renal interstitium, lung interstitium, digestive tract mucosa, causing renal tubular acidosis, pulmonary fibrosis or other diseases. For “dry eyes” and “dry mouth”, TCM doctors look at their pulse evidence to know what reversal is committed and treat it with the evidence. The dryness in Chinese medicine is divided into external dryness and internal dryness.  For external dryness: for warm dryness, we can use clear dryness and save lung soup. For cool dryness, Qianjin Maimendong Tang. For dryness caused by wind, add Scutellaria baicalensis and Fenghuang to Siwu Tang. For dryness caused by fire, Bamboo Leaves and Gypsum Soup to clear heat and generate fluid. For dryness caused by heat, add Ginseng to Bai Hu Tang. For dampness causing dryness, Yin Chen Artemisia Tang. For dryness caused by cold, use Da Qing Long Tang to resolve both the surface and the interior.  Internal dryness: for yin deficiency, Sha Shen Mai Dong Tang, Consistent Decoction or Six Flavors Di Huang Class. For Qi deficiency, Ginseng and Atractylodes Pill or Tonifying Zhong Yi Qi Tang. For deficiency of both qi and yin, tonifying Zhong Yi Qi combined with Liu Wei Di Huang. For yin deficiency and internal heat, Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan combined with Artemisia turtle shell Tang. For deficiency of yang energy, add nourishing products for stomach and yin to Rizhong Tang and Fengshi Rizhong Tang.
