The slippery pulse (slipperypulse) is a kind of pulse in the pulse diagnosis of Chinese medicine. It means that the person taking the pulse feels that the pulse is fluent, and the finger is round and smooth, like a pearl rolling on a jade plate. The slippery pulse is the main evidence of phlegm, food stagnation, real heat, etc. It is also the main evidence of pregnancy. If a woman has no disease but sees a slippery pulse, she can be judged to be pregnant (2nd to 9th month of pregnancy). In normal people, the slippery pulse is smooth and gentle (slightly slippery), which is a sign of the harmonization of Ying and Wei and the filling of Qi and Blood. In pathological conditions, slippery pulse can be seen in anemia, rheumatism, late stage of acute infection and fever, acute and chronic gastroenteritis, and cirrhosis of the liver with ascites (chordal slippery pulse). Western medicine treats for the cause, while Chinese medicine treats for the evidence. Slippery pulse can be seen in the following TCM evidence: 1, phlegm headache Slippery pulse, early morning or morning headache, dizziness, chest tightness, etc. 2, white film invasion of the eyes Slippery pulse, dry mouth, dry eyes, pulse count, photophobia and lacrimation, etc. 3.Phlegm vertigo nausea, slippery pulse, fatigue, moist pulse, loss of appetite, distortion of vision, etc. 4.Pediatric salivation constipation, weakness, slippery pulse, pale and tasteless mouth, salivation, red urine, damp heat of the spleen and stomach, etc. 5.Fetal fever Flushing and hot flashes, irritability, slippery pulse, yellow tongue coating, lower abdominal cramps, irregular vaginal bleeding, etc. 6.Subsuspension irritability, abdominal fullness, slippery pulse, yellow tongue coating, string pulse, distension or pain in the chest and abdomen of pregnant women.
