How to treat ileal polyps, tubular adenomas, and low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia

Ileo-polyp tubular adenoma, low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia treatment is based on surgical treatment. Ileocecal polyps are generally benign lesions, but all polyps in the intestinal tract have the possibility of cancer, if the polyp is single, small, and regular shape, smooth surface, and slow-growing, it is considered to be a benign polyp, if the polyp is hairy, large and cauliflower-like, and grows too fast, it is considered to be a malignant polyp. Tubular adenomas are also benign tumors that tend to occur in the intestinal tract, while intraepithelial neoplasia is a precancerous lesion of epithelial malignant tumors. Therefore, in the presence of ileal polyps, tubular adenomas, and low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, it is recommended to treat them with prompt surgical resection under colonoscopic conditions and pathologic examination. If malignant lesions are found, further radiotherapy and chemotherapy (e.g. 5-FU, vincristine, etc.) are needed; if no malignant lesions are found, regular follow-up colonoscopy is needed.
