Morphine is mainly used to treat pain in clinical settings, such as cancer patients or post-operative analgesic patients. Morphine belongs to the opioid class of drugs, and most of the drugs used in the clinic nowadays, besides morphine, there are other kinds of drugs such as fentanyl, sufentanil, and remifentanil, all of which belong to the opioid class.
