Yellowish-green leukorrhea with a fishy odor may be due to trichomoniasis. It is usually treated with medication.
Trichomonas vaginitis is a vaginal inflammation caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, which is a sexually transmitted disease. Its clinical manifestations are itching of the vulva, vaginal opening and increased vaginal discharge, which is thin or purulent, foamy, with odor, and can be grayish-yellow, yellowish-white or yellowish-green. It can also be accompanied by urinary tract infection and other symptoms.
Trichomonas vaginitis is treated with the drugs metronidazole and tinidazole, which are given systemically along with local treatment. Trichomonas vaginitis requires sexual partners to be treated at the same time, and the patient is required to review the secretions after each menstrual period, and is considered cured only after three consecutive negative examinations.
If the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for early and regular treatment.
