The cure rate of mid-stage gastric cancer patients through surgery is about 40%-50%. If surgery alone cannot cure gastric cancer, it can only properly prolong the life of patients, try to control the spread of cancer cells, reduce the pain brought by cancer to patients and improve the quality of survival. In addition to surgery, patients in the middle stage need chemotherapy, which can kill cancer cells in the blood and prolong life effectively. If patients with advanced gastric cancer are not recommended to undergo surgery, they can be treated conservatively to maintain life and reduce pain, or through intravenous rehydration to supplement nutrition to reduce patients’ pain and improve the quality of survival.
