The etiology of gastric bleeding is very diverse, and the broad etiology can be divided into gastrointestinal disorders, ruptured esophagogastric fundic veins, diseases of the organs adjacent to the gastroduodenum, and systemic diseases.
The etiology of gastric bleeding is very diverse, and the general etiology can be divided into the following cases:
1. Gastrointestinal diseases: such as gastroduodenal ulcer, acute and chronic gastritis, acute erosive hemorrhagic gastritis, Zhuo-Ai syndrome, gastric cancer, and Crohn’s disease of the upper jejunum, etc. These are due to damage to the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract, causing rupture and bleeding of surface capillaries or submucosal vessels .
2. Rupture of esophagogastric fundic varices: usually caused by cirrhosis in the decompensated phase, portal hypertension of various causes, often bleeding and dangerous.
3. Diseases of adjacent organs of the gastroduodenum: Biliary bleeding from various causes, pancreatic disease, aneurysm breaking into the stomach or duodenum, is due to bleeding from adjacent organ lesions that reflux into the stomach or duodenum, manifesting as bleeding from the stomach, but the lesion is not in the stomach, so pay attention to the distinction.
4. Systemic diseases: hematologic diseases, including thrombocytopenic purpura, hemophilia, etc., are due to coagulation dysfunction caused by the lack of coagulation factors; stress ulcers, in which patients suffer relatively large trauma, severe burns, after major surgery, cerebrovascular accidents, or stress caused by infectious shock, causing ischemic necrosis and detachment of the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract, resulting in gastric mucosa widespread oozing of blood.
