How to treat varicose veins?

Varicose veins in the lower extremities are very common and are caused by weakness of the vein walls or valves, mostly in people who are engaged in long hours of manual labor or standing work. Patients often feel that the affected limbs are accountable, heavy or swollen, easy to fatigue, may be accompanied by calf cramps; shallow calf veins bulge, dilate, bend, and even curl into a mass; varicose veins are prone to repeated inflammation, redness, swelling, hardness, and pain; the skin of the calf and ankle is black, itchy, and eczema is formed after a long course of the disease, and can form a chronic ulcer that does not heal after breaking; sometimes varicose veins can also break and bleed, which is very painful. How to treat varicose veins of lower limbs? 1.Conservative treatment: Early mild patients, old and weak patients, and patients who are temporarily not suitable for surgery (such as pregnancy) can be treated conservatively by appropriate bed rest, elevating the affected limbs, avoiding standing for too long, wearing elastic stockings, and also taking some medicine (such as Veritin, etc.). 2.Surgical treatment: It is a more thorough treatment method, specifically it is to do high level ligation of large and small saphenous vein plus stripping. The surgery is not very damaging and the effect is better, as long as the deep veins of the lower limbs are open and intact, the disease can be cured by removing these diseased veins. Note: Before you operate, you must ask your physician to check and prove that the deep veins of the lower limbs are open. 3.Injection therapy: It is the method of injecting sclerosing agent into the varicose veins and then bandaging them with pressure. This method is simple and easy, good cosmetic effect, but there are disadvantages such as treatment is not complete, easy to recur. In the past, it was more suitable for treating patients with recurrence after surgery, residual varicose veins after surgery, etc. But at present, there are new and better sclerosing agents at home and abroad which can be used to treat varicose lesions alone and have achieved good results.
