Oral dextran may not necessarily cure the disease of amenorrhea because there are many causes of amenorrhea, such as amenorrhea due to unwanted pregnancy, which can only be normalized if the pregnancy is terminated and the uterine lining returns to normal after the operation or about one month after the medical abortion and ovulation returns to normal. In addition, if the thyroid gland function is abnormal or polycystic ovary syndrome, such endocrine disorders may require treatment of the original disease, or short-acting oral contraceptives or progesterone to promote the onset of menstruation.
