Can UV light kill the new coronavirus?

UV light can inactivate novel coronaviruses. Novel coronaviruses are sensitive to UV light and heat, and can be effectively extinguished by heating at 56 degrees for 30 minutes or by irradiation with a UV lamp. In addition, fat solvents such as ether, 75% ethanol, chlorinated disinfectants, peroxyacetic acid and chloroform can also effectively inactivate the virus. For disinfection of rooms in home life, UV lamps can be applied, and daily morning and evening ventilation followed by half an hour of UV lamp irradiation can effectively inactivate indoor bacteria and viruses.
