What to do if you develop lung lesions in dry syndrome

The presence of lung lesions in dry syndrome can be treated with glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants, and biologics.
1. Glucocorticosteroids: such as prednisone, glucocorticosteroids play a major role in treatment. In dry syndrome lung involvement is mainly applied to bronchitis and interstitial lung disease. Interstitial lung diseases are categorized as acute, subacute, and chronic lesions, and the therapeutic effect of glucocorticosteroids diminishes in that order.
2. Immunosuppressants: such as cyclophosphamide and morphenicol ester can be used in the treatment of severe dry syndrome lung lesions. Blood count, liver and kidney function and other related indexes should be closely monitored during the use of drugs.
3. Biological agents: such as rituximab, which is a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 on the surface of B cells, can specifically remove B cells and shows good therapeutic prospects in dry syndrome. After rituximab treatment, both subjective clinical symptoms, as well as lung diffusion function and HRCT performance improved.
Patients with pulmonary lesions in dry syndrome are advised to consult the rheumatology and immunology department, respiratory department and other related departments in regular hospitals, and follow the doctor’s instructions. Drugs should be used in accordance with the doctor’s prescription, do not self-medication.
