How to check for hernia

Hernia is a very common type of disease in clinical practice, and the following methods are commonly used for examination: 1. Physical examination. 95% of clinical hernias occur in the inguinal region, and the patient may be instructed to be in a standing position and cough continuously. Patients with hernia may be found to have a mass protruding from the body surface in the inguinal region. The patient can be diagnosed with inguinal hernia if the mass is incorporated into the abdominal cavity and disappears on its own. 2.The diagnosis of hernia can be made by ultrasound examination, and the presence of inguinal hernia can be confirmed by finding the intestinal canal protruding from the body surface in the inguinal region at the defect of the body surface. 3.For patients with small inguinal hernia without obvious mass protruding from the body surface and without obvious clinical symptoms, the diagnosis can be made by abdominal CT examination. The patient can be examined by abdominal CT. If a localized peritoneal defect or disruption of peritoneal continuity is found under CT examination, inguinal hernia can be diagnosed even if there are no hernia contents protruding from the body surface.
