In the process of treating kidney stones, we found that some patients had recurrence of stones for several months after lithotripsy and stone extraction by various methods. After careful analysis, there are several reasons: (1) complex kidney stones (antler-shaped stones, cast stones, multiple stones), long-term damage to the kidney mucosa caused by chronic inflammatory changes, exudation, bleeding, easy to cause stone recurrence. (2) Kidney stones combined with intrarenal infection. (3)Kidney stone combined with moderate hydronephrosis, associated with renal cortical atrophy leading to renal hypofunction. (4) Residual stones after lithotripsy. (5) Diabetic patients are prone to recurrence of stones after surgery. (6) Low water intake and excessive high protein, high calcium diet.
