The etiology of old age is still dominated by chronic glomerulonephritis, but the proportion of kidney damage due to diabetes and hypertension is rapidly increasing. The first symptoms of patients in all stages of old age are mainly loss of appetite, nausea and weakness, while patients with end-stage renal disease have symptoms in all systems.
