Effects of polyethylene glycol losenatide injection

Polyethylene glycol losenatide injection works to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, either alone or in combination with metformin, in conjunction with dietary control and exercise. Polyethylene glycol losenatide is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. GLP-1 is an enteroglucagon naturally secreted by the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract of the human body, which binds to the receptor on pancreatic islet cells and stimulates the secretion of insulin, thus resulting in the lowering of blood glucose. Adverse reactions to this drug include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Contraindicated in patients with medullary thyroid cancer, family history of medullary thyroid cancer, or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN-2). It is contraindicated in patients who have had a previous severe allergic reaction to polyethylene glycol losenatide or any component of this product. This product has not been adequately and well controlled studied in women during pregnancy. The use of this product in women during pregnancy is not recommended. The above medications need to be used under the supervision of a doctor.
