Misoprostol causes pain in the lower abdomen about 20 minutes after taking the drug, mainly because misoprostol causes contractions of the uterus so that the pregnancy products can be expelled and a small amount of vaginal bleeding occurs shortly after the onset of abdominal pain. The pregnancy products are expelled 2-6 hours after the administration of misoprostol. In addition, due to individual differences, some people may experience an allergic reaction about ten minutes after taking misoprostol, such as a small red rash that can be seen on the inside of the palms of both hands, in which case the patient will feel itching on the palms of the hands. If the symptoms are severe, anti-allergy treatment is clinically indicated.
