How to treat chronic cervicitis

Chronic cervicitis does not require any special treatment if there is no discomfort. If there are clinical symptoms, medications as well as physical therapy are available. Topical medication for chronic cervicitis is usually inserted deep into the vagina so that the medication acts locally on the cervix. Commonly used medications include celiac suppositories and anti-coeliac suppositories, but the specific dosage of medication needs to be used under the guidance of a doctor. Physical therapy includes laser therapy, microwave therapy, Bohm light therapy, and infrared therapy. If there is no effect after medication and physical therapy, or if the effect is not good, you can also choose surgical treatment, commonly used Lipo knife. All physical and surgical treatments need to be performed after 3-7 days of menstruation, and after the procedure, sexual intercourse is prohibited for 1-2 months and tub bathing is prohibited for 2 weeks. In particular, you need to pay attention to personal hygiene after Lipo knife or Bohm light treatment, keep your vulva dry and clean, change your underwear regularly, avoid eating spicy and stimulating food, eat more fruits and vegetables, and have a review 1-2 months after surgery. Regular cervical cytology scraping is also needed. In conclusion, the treatment of chronic cervicitis needs to be decided after the doctor’s interview and according to the specific condition.
