Zhen Wu Tang helps to treat generalized shaking of the body following spleen and kidney yang deficiency (deficiency of yang qi in the spleen and kidneys). Zhen Wu Tang has the effect of warming yang and inducing diuresis (replenishing yang qi in the body and promoting the circulation of water and fluids). Zhen Wu Tang is composed of Paeoniae Alba, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Ginger, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, and Poria. Zhen Wu Tang can be used to treat Yang deficiency and water flooding (deficiency of Yang qi causing obstruction of water circulation in the body), symptoms include cold fear and limb syncope, dysuria, palpitation and restlessness under the heart, dizziness, twitching of muscles and muscles of the body, unsteadiness in standing up, heaviness and pain of the limbs, edema, especially below the waist; abdominal pain, diarrhea; or coughing and vomiting, etc. Zhen Wu Tang cannot be used for treating damp-heat and heatiness. Zhenwu Tang should not be used for edema and low urine output caused by dampness-heat. The adverse reactions and contraindications of Zhenwu Tang are not exact.
