The patient was a male with diabetic lower extremity vascular disease and painful toe with color change and swelling. After CT-guided anterolateral puncture of L2 vertebral body with good contrast, local anesthetic test for toe pain disappeared and no spinal nerve anesthesia, 10 ML of 5% phenol glycerin was injected. The patient’s pain disappeared after the operation. The color of the toe gradually returned to normal after 10 days, in sharp contrast to the preoperative period, and the pain did not recur.
