Stem cell technology itself is still in the developmental stage and biologists have various ideas about it, but it has not yet broken through to clinical trials. Isolating and culturing stem cells is much more difficult than isolating and culturing ordinary cells, and it is still a cutting-edge technology for experimental research only, and no institution is capable of commercial mass production yet. Even if we succeed in breaking through the problem of isolation and culture, there are still many problems to overcome after injecting stem cells into human body, such as immune reaction, cell absorption, and inability to induce targeting. To sum up, the current injection of stem cells in China to activate cell division and thus treat under-eye bags is mostly a gimmick, just for profit. This kind of irregular beauty institutions will inject substances with unknown composition into the body of the candidates. If the patient is sensitive, he or she may have an allergic reaction to such substances, which may manifest as local redness, swelling, itching and pain. If the operator’s technique is poor and the substance is injected into the blood vessels, it can lead to local skin necrosis or, in serious cases, embolism, resulting in death. It is recommended that candidates can use more mature technology, currently safer and more effective treatment of under-eye bags for open surgery, including two main methods, namely, internal and external incision. The internal method is to make an incision through the conjunctiva, from the eyelids, to remove part of the bags, that is, the fat in the orbit, and then make the bags smaller or disappear; the other is the external method, the external method is to make an incision from the skin surface, that is, from the root of the eyelashes, and then to the orbital septum, to remove the excess bulging fat.
