OBJECTIVE: To explore the preliminary experience of transumbilical single-port multi-channel laparoscopic ureterotomy and lithotripsy. METHODS: In August 2009, a patient with a right upper ureteral stone underwent transumbilical single-port multi-channel laparoscopic ureterotomy for stone extraction. RESULTS: The operation was completed successfully with an operative time of 102 min, intraoperative bleeding of 50 ml, and no additional surgical access, and the patient was discharged 3 d after the operation. CONCLUSION: Transumbilical single-hole multi-channel laparoscopic ureterotomy for stone extraction is safe, effective, no obvious surgical scar after surgery, good cosmetic effect, and good prospect for clinical application.
