The first thing to consider when experiencing acid reflux and nausea is acute gastritis, mostly related to poor diet. If the onset is frequent and persistent, consider reflux esophagitis, chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, the elderly need to be aware of the possibility of gastric cancer, and for women of childbearing age the possibility of pregnancy.
Acid reflux nausea is a common clinical symptom in the stomach and epigastric region, mostly related to excessive secretion of gastric juice or reflux. If the patient has not eaten properly recently, such as eating too much cold, drinking alcohol, drinking strong tea and coffee, it can lead to temporary hyperacidity, which usually recovers after rest and symptomatic treatment.
For recurrent illnesses, stomach lesions need to be considered, such as reflux esophagitis, chronic gastritis, and gastric ulcers. Because of the inherent lesions of the gastric mucosa, even normal gastric juice secretion can irritate the locally damaged mucosa, leading to acid reflux and nausea.
Elderly patients with symptoms such as poor appetite and gradual weight loss need to be aware of the possibility of gastric cancer, and early gastroscopy is recommended.
For women of childbearing age with delayed menstruation and symptoms of acid reflux, nausea, and vomiting, it is important to consider the possibility of early pregnancy and not to use drugs indiscriminately, and timely improvement of hcg examination is recommended.
