Apatinib is an antitumor drug, and its main ingredient is apatinib mesylate. This drug is a small molecule targeted drug, which inhibits the growth of tumor blood vessels through the different receptors of blood supply vessels of malignant tumors. If the growth of tumor blood vessels stops, the nutrient supply of the tumor will be interrupted and the tumor cells will be necrotic. This drug is indicated for patients with advanced gastric adenocarcinoma or adenocarcinoma of the gastro-esophageal junction that has progressed or recurred despite at least 2 prior chemotherapies. It should be noted that this drug may cause adverse reactions such as gastric bleeding, hypertension, proteinuria, cardiotoxicity and hepatotoxicity.
