Treatment of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis

Desensitization therapy, the medical term for specific immunotherapy. It is an important treatment in the clinical management of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis and is the only treatment available that targets the cause of the disease. Desensitization therapy consists of two methods: subcutaneous or sublingual. Sublingual desensitization is easy to apply, safe and acceptable to the patient and has been used to great effect in the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis: it relieves the symptoms of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis and reduces the amount of medication used by the patient. Sublingual desensitization is particularly important for the treatment of allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma in children: it has the potential to influence the natural course of allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, to prevent the development of allergic rhinitis into asthma, to prevent the development of new allergies, etc. The course of sublingual desensitization therapy is divided into an induction period and a maintenance period. Due to the above-mentioned advantages of sublingual immunotherapy, it is increasingly used in the treatment of clinical bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis. However, due to the specialized nature of this therapy, patients should be treated under the guidance of an experienced physician in a qualified hospital.
