What’s with the fast bowel movements?

Fast gastrointestinal peristalsis may be caused by certain physiological factors, as well as intestinal flora imbalance, irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis and other diseases, and should be promptly consulted to identify the cause of the disease.
1. Physiological factors: fast gastrointestinal peristalsis may be caused by certain physiological factors, such as spicy food stimulation, too much tension, may increase the sensitivity of the intestinal tract, thus causing gastrointestinal peristalsis to accelerate.
2. Pathologic factors:
(1) Dysbiosis of intestinal flora: such as irrational or abusive use of antimicrobial drugs, lack of gastric acid can lead to dysbiosis of intestinal flora. Probiotics decrease, harmful bacteria multiply and stimulate the intestinal tract, which leads to excessive gastrointestinal peristalsis and symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal distension and abdominal pain.
(2) Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS): a common gastrointestinal dysfunction disorder, which can be triggered by food, intestinal infections, abnormal autonomic nervous system function and other triggers, resulting in excessive gastrointestinal peristalsis and abnormal defecation, abdominal pain and other manifestations.
(3) Ulcerative colitis: under the participation of intestinal microorganisms, there is intestinal immune imbalance, intestinal mucosal barrier damage, resulting in inflammatory damage of intestinal mucosa, and the stimulation of inflammation can appear stress response, causing fast gastrointestinal peristalsis, and recurrent diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mucus-pus-blood stools and other symptoms.
The rapid peristalsis of the intestines and stomach, after excluding physiological factors, should promptly consult a doctor for a clear diagnosis, and if necessary, should be treated accordingly.
