The current minimally invasive surgical options for gallbladder stones include laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic stone removal with preservation of the gallbladder. The former procedure costs about 10,000 yuan, while the latter may involve the application of a disposable interceptor as well as an electronic choledochoscope, and therefore costs slightly more, possibly about 15,000 yuan. In acute calculous cholecystitis, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is now generally considered. In this case, antibacterial drugs and liver-protective drugs are needed, and the hospital stay will be extended accordingly, so the overall cost will be slightly higher, probably around 12,000-13,000 RMB. In some large medical centers, minimally invasive gallbladder surgery has become day surgery, eliminating the need for hospitalization, so the overall cost will drop further. Since most of our patients now have different types of medical insurance, the cost after reimbursement will be further reduced. However, the reimbursement rate varies from one health insurance to another, so there is a difference in the final cost.
