What is hypofractionated adenocarcinoma of the gastric sinus?

Hypofractionated adenocarcinoma of the gastric sinus refers to gastric cancer that originates in the sinus region and is more malignant and is classified as a hypofractionated cancer. Most of the gastric cancers are adenocarcinoma depending on the nature of the pathology. According to the different degrees of cell differentiation, it is generally divided into undifferentiated, hypodifferentiated, moderately differentiated and highly differentiated carcinomas, and the lower the degree of differentiation, the higher the malignancy is indicated. The degree of malignancy of hypofractionated adenocarcinoma of the gastric sinus also depends on the size of the lesion and the presence of metastatic lesions from other sites. Generally, tumors located in the sinus region need to be considered for total gastrectomy, which means enlargement of the entire stomach, followed by reconstruction of the digestive tract and lymph node dissection of the perigastric region. After surgery, at least 6 courses of adjuvant chemotherapy are required. If the tumor can be cured surgically and the nutrition can be kept up after surgery, the treatment effect may be better, but it can only be observed while treatment.
