The 5-year survival rate is about 10%-20%. The treatment for rectal cancer bone metastasis is mainly divided into 2 parts: 1) local radiotherapy or particle implantation for bone metastases, and cement internal fixation if there is a risk of fracture; 2) synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy or chemotherapy plus anti-tumor angiogenesis targeted therapy for rectal cancer. After synchronous radiotherapy and chemotherapy, if the stage can be reduced, modified surgery or radical surgery for rectal cancer can be done; if it cannot be reduced, only palliative treatment or best supportive treatment can be done. In conclusion, for rectal cancer bone metastasis, we should adopt local treatment for rectal cancer as well as radiotherapy or local particle implantation for bone metastasis to reduce pain and prolong life by integrated means.
