Objective:Renal cell carcinoma is the most lethal urological tumor, and the status of renal peritoneal invasion may be related to the clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of renal cancer, but few studies have been conducted in this area. In this study, we investigated the significance of renal peritoneal invasion status on the clinical symptoms and staging of renal cancer. METHODS: The renal peritoneal invasion status was classified into infiltrating without penetrating the peritoneum and infiltrating with penetrating the peritoneum according to the relationship between the tumor and the peritoneum. We retrospectively analyzed the clinical symptoms, postoperative pathology of peritoneal invasion status and TNM stage (AJCC 2002) of 101 consecutive cases of renal pain treated by surgery in our department in 2006, and compared the association between the three.
