How to treat pancreatic tumors?

Pancreatic tumors are the most common of the malignant tumors, mostly occurring in the head of the pancreas. There can be pancreatic sarcoma, pancreatic cystadenoma, pancreatic cystic adenocarcinoma, etc. The following are the treatment methods of pancreatic tumors. Cystic adenocarcinoma of the pancreas 1. Cystic adenocarcinoma of the pancreas is not sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. 2. For cystic masses of the pancreas whose nature is difficult to be determined, especially mucinous cysts, they should be treated according to the treatment principles of pancreatic cystic cancer, and the masses and part of the pancreatic tissue where they are located should be removed. For pancreatic cystic cancer, internal or external drainage of the cyst should not be performed easily, which will not only fail to achieve the purpose of surgical treatment, but also increase the chance of cyst infection and delay the time of radical surgery. 3.Surgical removal of pancreatic cystic cancer, including part of the normal pancreas where the tumor is located, is the preferred method of treatment for this disease. In principle, most of the pancreatic cystic adenocarcinoma should be resected radically. Depending on the location and extent of the lesion, the relationship between the cancer and the adjacent organs, and the degree of metastasis and infiltration, simple cyst removal, pancreatic tail plus splenectomy, pancreaticoduodenectomy or total pancreatectomy can be chosen respectively. Cystic adenoma of the pancreas Surgery is the only treatment for cystic tumors of the pancreas. Small cystic adenomas can be removed; most patients need to undergo tail resection of the pancreas including the spleen. Cystic tumors of the head of the pancreas can be resected by duodenectomy of the head of the pancreas. C. Pancreatic sarcoma Preferred surgical treatment. For head of pancreas tumor, pancreaticoduodenectomy is performed; for tail of pancreas tumor, pancreatic tail splenectomy is performed; if it invades the surrounding organs such as stomach and colon, partial resection of stomach and colon can be combined. Pancreatic sarcoma rarely has distant metastasis or lymph node metastasis.
