It is a condition of varying degrees of liver damage induced by the drug itself or its metabolites after drug administration. Patients mainly present with fever, anorexia, jaundice and itchy skin. It often occurs between 5 and 90 days after drug administration, and most patients experience significant improvement in symptoms after discontinuation of the drug.
