What are the advantages of a minimally invasive laparoscopic approach to pediatric hernia?

1.Simple operation and short operation time, the operation time of bilateral hernia is about 30-40 minutes. 2.One operation can solve both sides of the hernia at the same time, without increasing the surgical incision. For one side of the hernia, the “invisible hernia” on the opposite side can be found during the surgery and operated at the same time, avoiding the pain caused to the child by operating on the opposite side again later. A case in point: The child was two years old and underwent open surgery for a hernia on the right side at a local hospital six months ago. Six months later, a hernia was found on the left side, and the child had to be operated on again. If this child had opted for minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, the “invisible hernia” on the left side, which was not yet clinically symptomatic, would have been detected during the surgery and operated on at the same time. The above situation of re-operation was avoided. 4. The cosmetic effect is obvious, and the surgical incision is basically invisible after healing. It will not affect the future education and employment.
