The treatment of facial paralysis is generally divided into acute phase, recovery phase and sequelae phase. Among them, 7–10 days after the onset of the disease is the acute stage, and the purpose of treatment in the acute stage is to stop or slow down the aggravation of the disease, reduce the damage of the facial nerve, and create conditions for further recovery. 1.Treatment principle Improve local blood circulation, reduce facial nerve edema, relieve nerve compression, and promote nerve function recovery. 2.Drug therapy Hormonal drugs, not all facial paralysis have to take prednisone, we are not very advocate of hormonal drugs. Nutritional nerve drugs, such as B vitamins (including B1, B6, B12), rat nerve growth factor, Shenjie, etc., but the latter two nutritive nerve drugs are more expensive; if it is a viral infection of facial paralysis, we should take antiviral treatment, such as aciclovir and so on. Physiotherapy can be done to improve local circulation. Traditional Chinese medicine will usually take the treatment plan to relax the meridians and collaterals and dispel wind and cold, acupuncture is the first choice, but the amount of stimulation in the acute stage is too large, we usually use electroacupuncture after 8 days, and can be combined with traditional Chinese medicine orally, such as the Zhaizheng San plus flavor. 3, precautions ① avoid wind and cold; ② follow the law of disease occurrence, development and improvement, do not be impatient; ③ protect the eyes.
