How can I check myself for scoliosis?

Scoliosis is one of the more common clinical deformities of the spine, the most common of which is adolescent idiopathic scoliosis, which seriously affects the physical and psychological health of adolescents. Obvious scoliosis can be detected by self-examination. Methods of self-examination. 1. Does anyone say that the two shoulders are not the same height? If so, it is important to note that many scoliosis is accompanied by unequal height of both shoulders. You can use a mirror, undress upright, and observe for yourself whether the bilateral symmetry. 2, whether family or friends told the back is not straight? To check, you can ask your family or friends to help you touch the bony prominence at the back of the spine, i.e., the spinous process. When normal, each spinous process is in a straight line when touched from behind; while the line of each spinous process is curved when scoliosis is present. 3, is there an unevenness in the back when bending? It is also commonly known as razorback deformity, where the scapula and thorax on one side appear to protrude higher than the opposite side when bending over. When this occurs, scoliosis is often present. If any of these conditions occur, you should visit a hospital promptly to avoid delaying treatment.
