How can women stay away from strain-related diseases?

In the outpatient clinic, many female patients always complained of pain in multiple areas of the body. The history and examination reveal that most of them are strain disorders, such as tenosynovitis of the fingers and radial tuberosity, internal and external humeral epicondylitis, biceps tendinitis, supraspinatus tendinitis (calcification of the supraspinatus stop), tendon sheath cysts, osteoarthritis of the wrist and hand, acromion impingement, lumbar strain, lumbar synostosis, lumbar spinal stenosis, lumbar spondylolisthesis, osteoarthritis of the knee, ankle and hip, and so on. Why are these diseases common in women? In fact, in addition to the physiological factors women’s muscle strength is poor, more importantly, due to long-term strain, that is, the so-called “overwork”. Of course, there is also the factor of incorrect posture of life and labor. In fact, the long-term chronic strain injury is very harmful. There are many receptors in the human body, which play a self-protective role. Long-term domestic activities reduce the sensitivity of the receptors, so that female patients ignore this signal, which leads to cumulative damage, and in the long run, the pathological changes gradually aggravate, quantitative to qualitative changes, and the disease occurs. Here, it is recommended that female patients, as far as possible, rationalize domestic activities. First, do not put similar nature of labor together to reduce the chance of injury to the same motor system, learn to rest, combine work and rest, alternate between different nature of household activities; furthermore, do not rush to complete a large number of repetitive work in a short period of time; third, often change the posture of activities to prevent a posture for too long; fourth, reduce excessive weight-bearing activities, including walking too much, lifting heavy objects too much ( Fourth, reduce excessive weight-bearing activities, including walking too much and lifting too many heavy objects (picking up and dropping off children, buying groceries in long-distance markets, etc.); fifth, move slowly and avoid fast and sharp activities; finally, it is very important to learn to use household appliances as a good helper for household work and free yourself. We hope that women, especially older women, who understand the above precautions, can help reduce the chance of strain injury and stay away from orthopedic strain disorders as much as possible.
