There are three possibilities for hand swelling after a good brain hemorrhage: 1, edema caused by poor blood return to the low hanging area. In this case, patients should be helped to move their hands and place them in a higher position than the heart in the resting state or during sleep by placing a folded pillow or thicker clothing underneath them. 2. Edema caused by hypoproteinemia. Patients who have poor feeding, malnutrition, and reduced plasma protein may lead to edema. This condition requires intensive nutritional support and, if necessary, intravenous infusion of albumin. 3. Deep vein thrombosis. Reduced activity and blood stagnation in the limb on the paralyzed side may easily form thrombosis in the deep vein, blocking blood return and leading to swelling. It is necessary to improve the vascular ultrasound examination of the upper extremity, and after clear diagnosis, consult the vascular surgery department, if necessary, interventional surgery, and also give anticoagulation treatment, often using low molecular heparin.
