Fat liquefaction, which mostly occurs 5-7 days after surgery, has more yellow exudate in the incision, which affects the healing of the incision, without redness, swelling, or pressure pain around the incision. The cause is mainly related to the patient’s combination of obesity, diabetes, poor nutrition and intraoperative application of high-frequency electric knife causing fat cell degeneration and aseptic necrosis. Generally, after active dressing change treatment, the yellow water inside the incision can heal in about 10 days, but the healing time of the incision varies depending on the extent of liquefaction of the incision and the amount of exudate.
