Do diabetics with black feet necessarily have diabetic feet?

A local patient with early diabetic foot the other day really made people laugh and cry. He too had experienced the seriousness of diabetic foot from my previous patients, so he was particularly worried about his feet, why? Because the color of his feet looked a little dark. Thinking about it, he couldn’t sleep at night, and that’s why his family brought him here a few days ago. When he arrived at the hospital, he was asked about his medical history. He had a history of diabetes for 6 years, and reported that his blood sugar control was average. About a year ago, he had trouble with his legs and feet, and now he felt a little pain when it was cold. After preliminary judgment, the lower extremities were definitely diseased, but the blackness on the surface of the feet was different from the common diabetic foot. I looked at it and thought to myself, “This can’t be ash, right? The blackness of the diabetic foot was clearly visible, and it was the blackness of necrosis and inactivation. After asking him, I knew it was more likely. It turned out that because of the cold weather, he didn’t like to wash his feet very much, and he hadn’t washed them properly for a month. Then, I arranged for the nurse to wash the patient’s feet. Sure enough, he rubbed down a lot of ash, and his feet were black and confirmed that they were indeed dirty, which really made people laugh and cry at this point. Although he himself also breathed a sigh of relief, but after examination of the lower limb blood vessels have narrowed places, there is also peripheral neuropathy, these are the early symptoms of diabetic foot, if not treated, later is also likely to appear diabetic foot. Then we talk about the problem of daily foot washing and soaking, often with hot water foot soaking is also beneficial to the body, but like diabetic patients with lower limb lesions, the sensitivity to temperature sensation decreases, foot washing and soaking must be careful to control the water temperature to avoid burns. Also, do not wash your feet for too long, generally ten minutes on it. After washing the feet to wipe the feet clean, especially the toe seam should be kept dry to avoid breeding germs. But I still appreciate this patient because he is very careful to worry about his condition, unlike some patients who don’t go to the hospital even though they already have wound infection. It is important to know that many people’s problems are delayed, and I hope that you will pay attention to the early symptoms once they appear.
