It has the efficacy of warming yang and transforming qi, inducing dampness and promoting water circulation. It is used for the treatment of edema caused by Yang not transforming Qi (the body’s Qi is blocked), and water-dampness stopping inside (water-dampness stays in the body), with symptoms such as dysuria (unruly urination), edema and abdominal distension, vomiting and diarrhea, and thirst and thirst for water.
