According to a survey on the bowel habits of the general population aged 18-70 in Beijing, the normal number of bowel movements in adults ranges from 3 times a day to 3 times a week, mostly formed soft stools, but also semi-formed stools. It has an important impact on the prognosis of acute myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accidents and other critical diseases, and can even lead to life accidents. At present, there is the phenomenon of laxative abuse in China, and the abuse of laxatives creates (such as intestinal rinse tea, rhubarb, aloe vera, open cork, etc.) into many adverse reactions, increasing medical costs and wasting medical resources. Chronic constipation is divided into slow transmission type, exit obstruction type and mixed type. Long-term chronic constipation and intractable constipation are necessary for standardized examination and treatment in hospitals where conditions exist. In addition to targeted medication, reasonable dietary structure, such as increasing dietary fiber content and water intake to enhance the stimulation of the colon; developing good defecation habits in the morning or in the morning and avoiding straining to defecate; at the same time, appropriate exercise should be increased to change sedentary and other poor lifestyles; and actively adjusting the mentality, all of which are extremely important to obtain effective treatment.
