Causes of acne around the nose

Pimples around the nose may be acne, which is related to androgen-induced sebum secretion, abnormal keratinization of sebaceous gland ducts in hair follicles, and propagation of Propionibacterium acnes.
1. Androgen-induced sebum secretion: Increased levels of androgens after puberty or imbalance between male and female hormones can cause sebaceous glands to enlarge and sebum secretion to increase, thus inducing acne.
2. Abnormal keratinization of follicular sebaceous gland ducts: proliferation and hyperkeratinization of keratinocytes at the follicular ducts can block sebum excretion and induce acne formation.
3. Propionibacterium acnes colonization: Propionibacterium acnes colonization can stimulate follicular duct keratinization, produce low molecular polypeptides, and induce inflammatory reactions.
Acne is also associated with genetics, immune inflammation, and poor lifestyle habits. It is recommended to pay attention to skin care and not to squeeze and scratch the acne to avoid infection. The appearance of acne should be timely to the hospital dermatology consultation, combined with the doctor’s advice for reasonable treatment.
