The difference between ovarian adenocarcinoma and ovarian cancer

Ovarian adenocarcinoma is a kind of ovarian cancer, which belongs to ovarian epithelial tumor. Ovarian cancer also includes sex cord mesenchymal cell tumor such as granulosa cell tumor, germ cell tumor such as immature teratoma, metastatic tumor, etc. Ovarian adenocarcinoma includes plasmacytic cystic adenocarcinoma and mucinous cystic adenocarcinoma, of which plasmacytic cystic adenocarcinoma accounts for 75% of ovarian epithelial carcinoma, mostly bilateral, large, cystic, solid, nodular or lobulated, grayish-white, with papillary hyperplasia, multihoused in cut surface, cavity filled with papillae, brittle, hemorrhagic, and necrotic. Mucinous cystic adenocarcinoma accounts for 20% of ovarian epithelial carcinoma, mostly unilateral, with larger tumors, papillae or parenchymal areas visible in the cyst wall, cystic solidity in the cut surface, cloudy or bloody cystic fluid.
