What drugs are available for progesterone

Progesterone medications, including progesterone and dydrogesterone, belong to the progestin class of drugs. In clinical practice, they are mainly used to supplement the shortened menstrual cycle caused by progesterone deficiency, or to have an oxytocic effect, and for the treatment of anorectic fetus. It is recommended that progestins should only be used under the supervision of a doctor, as improper application may result in irregular vaginal bleeding. It is also recommended that progestins be taken continuously without interruptions. Once interrupted, irregular vaginal bleeding may occur, which will not achieve the clinical treatment purpose and may cause certain side effects. If progesterone is used to treat luteal insufficiency, it should be taken in the second half of the menstrual period and should be discontinued for ten consecutive days. If it is used for the treatment of fetus, the medication can only be stopped until the clinical symptoms completely disappear.
