Herpes simplex oralis

  June to August is the peak incidence of pediatric oral herpes, parents and friends must pay attention to baby cleanliness and hygiene, pediatric oral herpes mainly manifests acute herpetic gingivostomatitis. It is more common in children under 6 years old, especially from 6 months to 2 years old. Adults can also develop, the onset of its four periods: 1, the prodromal period before the onset of the disease often have a history of contact with patients with herpes disease. After an incubation period of 4-7 days, acute symptoms such as fever, headache, fatigue, generalized muscle pain, sore throat, swollen submandibular and supra-cervical lymph nodes, and tenderness appear. The child salivates, refuses to eat, and is irritable. After 1 to 2 days, the oral mucosa, attached gingiva and marginal gingiva are widely congested and edematous.  2.Blistering period The oral mucosa shows clusters of small blisters, like the size of a pinhead, the walls of the blisters are thin, transparent and easy to break, forming superficial ulcers.  3, the vesicular phase Clusters of small blisters can cause large areas of vesicles after ulceration, and can cause secondary infection. It is covered with yellow pseudomembrane. Similar lesions can be found on the lips and perioral skin, and scabs are formed after the blisters break down.  4, healing period The vesicular surface gradually shrinks, healing, the entire course of the disease takes 7 to 10 days.  Treatment is mainly antiviral treatment, oral and pharyngeal spray ribavirin, containing Zhenhuang granules. For children with fever over 38 degrees, physical cooling or oral antipyretics can be used.
