A vaginal ultrasound is a transvaginal ultrasound that can detect cervical polyps to some extent.
Vaginal ultrasound, which involves placing a high-frequency probe into the subject’s vagina, can obtain high-resolution sonograms that can examine certain pelvic pathologies, and selecting the right position can also reflect the location and size of cervical polyps.
However, due to individual differences, some more complex cervical polyps or smaller cervical polyps, vaginal ultrasound may not be able to accurately reflect. Therefore, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and pathologic examination are generally recommended for cervical polyps, which can clarify the location, length and nature of the polyp with a high degree of accuracy.
If cervical polyps are suspected, it is recommended to complete the relevant examinations to clarify the size and nature of the polyps, and follow the doctor’s instructions for relevant treatment.
