Can amniotic fluid embolism be saved by dialysis?

Amniotic fluid embolism is one of the critical illnesses in obstetrics. Dialysis is generally used for uremia due to acute renal failure caused by amniotic fluid embolism, so it is not a treatment for amniotic fluid embolism by dialysis alone.
Amniotic fluid embolism is a critical condition that occurs during labor and delivery. The onset of the disease is relatively rapid, and during delivery, the amniotic fluid enters the mother’s blood circulation, which may cause pulmonary embolism, multi-organ failure, and even death.
Once amniotic fluid embolism has been identified, immediate resuscitation is required, based on the symptoms of the patient, targeted resuscitation. Antishock treatment, oxygenation, correction of disseminated intravascular coagulation, prevention of renal failure and other means of treatment are generally required.
