How many days does it take to be hospitalized for chemotherapy for lung cancer?

Lung cancer chemotherapy is usually administered within a week of hospitalization. Lung cancer chemotherapy is mainly a combination of third-generation chemotherapy drugs based on cisplatin, such as cisplatin combined with gemcitabine, docetaxel or vincristine, pemetrexed and so on. Any one of these four drugs can be combined with cisplatin to form a chemotherapy regimen. Generally, these chemotherapy drugs are used once every three weeks for about three days each time, and the infusion can be finished in one day. The side effects of chemotherapy mainly include gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea and vomiting, or blood system reactions such as white blood cell drop, anemia and thrombocytopenia, etc. These side effects can be significantly reduced through symptomatic treatment and do not affect the normal course of chemotherapy.
